CDPP is involved in ESA/Athena

When plasma physics helps X-ray astronomy

The ESA L-class X-ray Athena telescope is planned for launch in 2028. Characterizing the plasma environment at L1 and L2 where the X-IFU telescope will be placed is a new task for CDPP in the frame of an  ESA-funded project. CDPP will also support data distribution for Solar Orbiter and JUICE, as it does so today for the Rosetta Plasma Consortium.
